The legal profession has placed itself at the forefront of the UK's cyber security agenda, and today the Conveyancing Association have gone one step further with the launch of the Cyberfraud and Fraud Protocol, an innovative and ambitious plan to secure the industry from cyber threats.
By encouraging firms to reach the standard of 'Cyber Safe' and protecting the information, cash and assets a firm holds within its system, conveyancers can gain a competitive advantage and reassure their clients that they have a pragmatic, realistic approach to cyber security. The CA's scheme means firms have to adopt the Cyberfraud Protocol, as well as demonstrate that they have achieved the standard for Cyber Essentials.
As a leading certification bodies of the UK Government's Cyber Essentials Scheme, Mitigate Cyber Security have welcomed the announcement and will provide support and guidance to all Conveyancing Firms on their own cyber security mitigation.
