Mitigate Cyber Security managing director Stephen Robinson spoke at the North’s largest annual cyber-security conference last week.
More than 80 business leaders and internet security experts came together at Lancaster University’s annual cyber security conference.
CSC2013, held at the Lancaster House Hotel, aimed to get businesses to think about potential growth opportunities surrounding cyber-security rather than dwelling on the risks.
Stephen said: “There is generally more awareness around the importance of cyber security now so the conference moved the agenda forwards a gear and highlighted the potential for growth of creative solutions to tackle these threats.
“Ay Mitigate, our team of highly qualified cyber security services specialise in penetration testing, consultancy, training, ISO compliance and Lexcel compliance. We’re seeing an increasing number of businesses which are beginning to recognise how essential it is to have robust cyber security measures in place.”
The conference was funded by one of Mitigate’s partners, Security Lancaster, which is one of eleven cyber security centres of excellence in the UK. The conference was also supported by the School of Computing and Communications, the ICT KTN and the Department for Business Innovation and Skills.
